ABOUT SASMO (Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiads)

2015 will mark the 10th anniversary of SASMO!

Created in Year 2006, SASMO is one of the largest Math Olympiads in Asia. SASMO nowprovides an internationally recognised competitive platform for students from Year 2 up to Year 10 (or Primary 2 to Secondary 4).

In April 2014, there were nearly 20,000 students from countries all over Asia participating in SASMO contest.

SASMO 2015 for Primary and Secondary schools will be held on 11th April 2015 (Saturday) and is available in two languages: English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Top scorers will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.

Secondary Division

SASMO questions are set in bilingual version – English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Every level has a differentiated question paper. Calculators are NOT permitted.

 Individual Awards

Top scorers will receive Gold (top 8%), Silver (next 12%) and Bronze (next 20%) awards. All award winners will be invited to join SIMOC* (held in Singapore on 11th July 2015). Others will each get a Certificate of Participation.

Team Awards

There is a team competition for each level, where the top 3 schools will receive trophies based on the number of Gold awards, then Silver awards and Bronze awards.  The team rank is an automatic calculation based on the awards won, therefore participating schools do not need to purposely separate students into teams.
